    My Enclave Album

An album for uploading screenshots of my homework for the Creation Kits Basic class and other such classes and endeavors. A wise Khajiit once said: "M'aiq knows why Falmer are blind. It has nothing to do with Altwing's album. Really."

    More Navmeshing fun.
  3. I've been spending the past week or so working on the underbuilding for the first Credit Challenge. I'm still tinkering with it, but here's the Navmesh for that as well: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/image/29051-ckb1cch1/ http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/image/29052-ckb1cch2/

  5. Hello and welcome! I'm very new here, too! I hope you enjoy it as much as I am.
  6. I don't mind doing it again. Each time I do it, I'm getting better. And I have one browser tab now permanently open to the Navmesh Cheat Sheet, and one tab open to 'Navmeshing the Nordic Stairs.' Which is necessary, as there were actually 4 yellow border lines I needed to remove, not just one. http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/image/28988-navtop2/ There's still quite a bit I need to grasp, such as understanding all the error messages about upside-down-normals or "Triangle 5 is connected to Triangle 6 but Triangle 6 is not connected to Triangle 5." For now I'm just letting the Creation Kit delete the offending triangles, but my goal is to eventually be able to eyeball this stuff.

  8. I decided to start from scratch. I actually went through both lessons 1 and 2 all over again, creating a 2nd farmhouse that I could experiment with just to practice Navmesh on without messing up everything else I was doing with food and wine and stuff. And then I forgot to save. But the third time, I believe I figured a system that works for me. I enable V and G, throw down green verticles in open spaces and then split edges where I need to go around an object (bed, chair, or whatever.) Then I merge where I can. It's rather tedious and time-consuming compared to 'waking the dog' and the other methods people use, but the end result is much better than where I was 2 weeks ago. http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/image/28965-nmtop1/ http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/image/28966-nvmbot1/ http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/image/28967-nvmbot2/ http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/image/28968-nowarn1/

    House of Argon

I play an Argonian thief/assassin so I had to try this out. And I have to say that it was well worth it. If you've ever trudged through Windhelm as an Argonian, you know how Nords see you. But at least here I felt at home. I have played for some time so it was just a matter of going to Mixwater Mill then going north a few feet, but if you're playing a new character or want to find this House organically, it's just east of Ivarstead. The upstairs is nothing special; it's about on the order of Breezehome. Though it has a forge right by the door, so that is a plus. But the Grotto! Ah, here is where House of Argon really shines. Just under your house is a full-blown grotto that looks bigger than what the thieves have in Riften. This grotto is so big that I half-expected bandits to be patrolling it. If you like loot, there's plenty of that and if you like roleplaying, there's plenty of immersive opportunities: barrels of fish, salmon on plates, water troughs full of swimming perch, and lots of nooks and crannies to explore.

    Moonh1

From the album: My Enclave Album

Just me having fun with Map Markers. I had no idea I could do this. Credit to DarkRider and Mr. Smarty (clearly the brains of the operation) and the CK Basics Class; each little tidbit picked up makes using the Creation Kit a bit less like trying to fly a 747 Jumbo Jet without instructions.
  15. http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/image/28926-ss2png/ I have to agree with Radiogamer. While I have very far to come, I am already impressed with how much this class has already taught me. This picture is of my Argonian looking around the Half-Moon area, as I wanted to see what my changes to the grass looked like in-game.

This is a picture for the class Creation Kit Basic Class. This is my Argonian admiring the farmhouse around Half-Moon mill.
  17. Every now and then, when I load up the Creation Kit, instead of everything being totally blank... it will be mostly blank, and will have some random thing like DefaultAshpile1 in the Object Window. Or for variety, DefaultAshpile2. This is before I have loaded any mods or skyrim, esm; this is just after the Creation Kit itself loads up. Any ideas as to what's going on? The Cell View and Render View windows are blank; this is just the Object Window.
  18. Okay, Navmesh kicked my behind. I did the rest of us a day or so after completing Lesson 1, but it took me several days to figure out how the little red triangles worked, and even then I had to go and practice and play with the NavMesh cheat-sheet and try out various buttons and configurations. http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/image/28865-agfood1/ This is the additional place settings. And some wine and potions for the Extra Credit. http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/image/28869-agbooks1/ This is the complete set of books. And a Custom Container for Extra Credit. http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/image/28868-agdoor1/ This is interior clutter.
