  1. Version 1.1

    135 downloads

Adds a necromancers shop in Cheydinhal. Run by two necromancers this shop catters for all the aspiring necromancer could desire and more. Train your skill in conjuration and purchase a powerful reanimate spell, try the new potions Drink Me, Lich Blood, or poison your foes with a Necro Poison. Possibly the most valuable item for sale would be the Ossavomica Bone Blade, a powerful sword forged from the bone of an unknown creature and imbued with a diabolical power. V1.2 is an esp only, updates some minor errors.
  2. Okay I will try the apply_highlight as well, was not sure what alpha channels did, I have done some reading on alpha channels so I now understand them, and this seems to have fixed the problems I was having. I think it will need some shine after viewing it with none. Thanks for the help might get the mod released within the day now Sorry IS I keep forgetting to post in the study hall, I will bookmark so I know where to post queries in future
  3. I need some help with textures, now I have read the texture guides here and on the wiki (although very helpful I am still stuck on a few things) The problem is the sword I have created is too shiny and bright in game, the texture file is of a bone blade and is based of the glass claymore, I have deleted the _g suffix file to stop glow, and have used both the oblivion standard _n file as well as my own. The OB default _n file is good but in daylight makes the blade blinding to look at, whilst my made _n file just makes it look terrible in every sense of the word, to shiny blue tint loss of detail ect ect. Now if some one can explain to me briefly about what it is that makes the 'glass shine effect' and how to remedy it I will be very grateful, as I do not want it to have any shine whatsoever or a very minimal shine so as the user won't go blind whilst wielding it. I thought also that maybe nifskope would be the way to edit the shiny effect but have found nothing that points this. Please help I am very close to finishing my mod and this is the only thing holding me back Thanks in advance Chemmy

  7. LOL of course lessons for everything and anything. it seems every time I start creating something simple like a shop for instance, I get half way through and think mmm but what about adding this or doing that. Just when I think I got enough info I have to learn more stuff. Tis fun but it is also a never ending process. Thanks for the link, I think I will just bookmark the pages I need most for now, will make life a lot easier.
  8. Got the packages set up fine, have not placed a node, to be honest not to sure about nodes yet. Thanks for the link will give it a read to.
  9. Okay now I have built the majority of a shop, it has four merchants all with two factions one I made then one appropriate to their character. I have set the interior just the way I like it, and placed the merchants behind their respective tables. Now the problem I have is when checking the mod in game, I find the two merchants downstairs are almost buried in the wall, and the two upstairs are standing in the 'foyer' area. so in other words they are not staying where I put them in the CS. They only have two AI packages running (they all use the same custom packages) one is for sleep the other to offer services. The building is cheydinhalupper02 (same as riverview) Any help nailing (literately if need be) my npcs to the floor, would be great.
  10. Thanks for the warm welcome, been going over a lot of the tutorials some very good stuff that will keep me busy for many a hour day week and months Will definitely check the revised vamps out soon. Just as well you ate the cookie Lanceor to many will make me hyper lol
  11. Thank you I have to ask, StarX, are you the StarX I have seen on nexus. StarX Vanilla Vamps? I guess you must be and must say I love your CM mod Morgana. I haven't got round to trying your Vamp one but it is in my list of mods to try.
  12. Hello all, long time tes fan and member of beth forums. Just wanted to say hi to everyone and explain a bit about why I am here. I was pointed to this site after asking unending questions about modding Oblivion. Now I am fairly good with PC's anyway I love photoshop although by no means a master at it, I am told (not my words) that I am a very talented artist. Now I love Oblivion and morrowind, and years ago took a shot at modding morrowind. I loved it although never got a chance to really delve into it. Well my kids are older now and I have more free time on my hands. So I thought what a great excuse to get back to something I really enjoyed. I will say that my skill level with the CS is competent enough even though still learning the ropes, I can do basics like building a house dungeon npcs ect, and learning how to fine tune and neaten my work. What I hope to accomplish here is to build on what I have already learnt, and to (down the road) learn more about scripting, quests, and creating new worlds. Ultimately I want to be able to work a complete vampire overhaul, create a new world cell that would be the focus of a vampire war vying for control of the only human settlement. I have many Ideas for this project but not enough practical or theoretical knowledge to actually go through with it. Anyway excuse the long intro and howdy Chemmy
  13. LOL thanks all, I have been playing a lot with the cs and asking question over at beth forum and they pointed me here. Been playing with the landscape editor and the quad window, looks confusing at first but after fiddling for awhile it seems a lot easier than I first thought. I will head to introductions I can see me asking a fair few questions on here, I really want to get good at modding.
  14. Hello all I am new to modding oblivion, I played about a bit with morrowind CS but never got that far. I have been following several tutorials and feel that I am learning the basics fairly well. But I have hit upon a snag and need some help as I can't seem to find or understand the articles I am reading. I have created a new house, the interior design is all done, and I have sorted out most of the exterior, (It adds a house next to the wawnet inn) but the problem I have is that when I load it up in game to check it out I realise that in the CS I can't see grass. So my house garden looks like an overgrown jungle. My question is how can I remove grass from a small area around my house? I realise I may have taken the long winded way of explaining things, I just want to make sure that my problem is understood. Any help that can be offered would be greatly appreciated.
