I am planning to use a race with hand wings, much as a bat... http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/image/29788-handwing-race/ ...the hand wings and arm/bodily membranes should be larger pending testing. From what I have seen the NPC skeleton can be extended for this using Blender but I am lost. Any of the tutorials that say "Create" only seem to "Modify" and I don't see how .kf such as hand to hand and casting can be used for each hand that is almost as large as the rest of the body. While I am more than prepared to put in the "hard yards" I simply don't have time for trial and error. I'd rather not have to rely on tutorials that don't have specific steps for specific models/animations with specific outcomes. While I have experience in meshing and weighting models down to fine tolerances on armatures in blender I have little experience in animation other than rehashing in NifSkope. I need and would greatly appreciate all direction and tips on offer. Thanks in advance.

  3. Most Blender tutorials are for more recent (and quite different) versions of Blender than 2.49. My advice is to learn how to work in the current version (2.71 as at this writing), use Legacy Save and only use 2.49 for Nif Import/Export.
