I followed the farmer to the giant camp just to see if the giant would accept the sacrifice. Next thing i knew, the giant had clubbed the poor farmer up into space itself.

I guess the sacrifice wasn't good enough this year. The cow was left wandering around the plains and got chased down by wolves.
