In-Game web Browser & IM

IDK the best place for this to go, so mods can be lively talked about through Steam and you can now access the Internet on it whilst playing games.

The overlay is compatible with both Oblivion and Morrowind. I just thought this may be a very useful tool to make. We could also make a group for TES Alliance, so there'd e a group chat always open.Steam

I don't know how nicely OB would play with any other program - it's a stingy, jealous resource hog, as you know!

I was actually surprised how well oblivion ran through steam. I am however on a high end rig so maybe that wouldn't be the case for everyone.

i think it would be a great idea, especially for the ppl who have an im programm like msnm that gets you to the desktop everytime someone sends you a message, making the game crash

Just found out that you can have TESALLIANCE music player running in the backgound for in-game music for online games that don't have any!

Well, some FPS games have no music in the background, so that lets you have some playing in the background should you desire it.

But I meant this for any game.

That would be an excellent idea for those with a rig powerful enough to support this application. It would allow the player do discuss about the game with another player while playing, for example.

For me, I think it would make my computer explode. I can barely run Oblivion with the Construction Set opened (Or actually, Oblivion itself).

Oblivion doesn't really support Alt-Tabbing, doesn't it? So shouldn't you have problems doing that? (Or maybe that's only on my computer.)

Indeed it does not support alt-tabbing!

However, steams overlay pops up over steam by pressing SHIFT + TAB. I'd be a real pain in the ass if you had to alt-tab out, otherwise it'd just be like running msn!
