OB won't boot

Hi, I re-installed OB on my laptop and it won't run anymore, for some reason..... Here's my LO, it's been bossed and everything.... Any ideas?

first, make sure you have all the master files (.esm) that the mods need. if one is missing it won't launch or CTD before getting to the load bar.

EDIT:

I would suggest getting UOP and USIP (unofficial Oblivion patch, and Unoffical Shivering Isle Patch)

next, what version of the BOSS masterlist are you using?

Yup, definitely do; they were all one-package OMODs.

Not the most recent one, my spider daedra would be before Knights.esp

What kind of 'not run' is this?

Doesn't even start? crashes on load?

I'd recommend getting Wrye Bash, personally. If you follow the readme, it is a piece of cake to install/use and it is really helpful in determining issues like this. It holds a wealth of useful information.

I have Wrye Bash and use it frequently, I simply couldn't find my "Installers" folder for some reason, no matter where I searched. I needed these installed quickly as I was expecting company and these are his favorite mods.

I also have the UOP installed here, I didn't have the USIP because I originally had a corrupted download and haven't used this computer for OB in a long time....

Downloading most recent BOSS now.

Using the newest BOSS solved nothing. Still got a CTD.

Well, you have SI so you definitely need the SI patch. I agree with Jack, use Bash and it will easily tell you of any conflicts causing the game not to run.

I understand that USIP is a necessity, but at the moment I can't really deal with it. Guest is playing Battlefield on my big computer while I try to solve this issue surreptitiously. I can't DL it right now or pull it off of the other computer. How likely is it to be the cause of the crash? If it's unlikely then I'd prefer just to do it later

It's fairly likely the cause.

Try this; Uncheck all mods and just try to run vanilla OB. If it still crashes well then we're closer to a solution.

It didn't crash. I'm installing mods one at a time and seeing when I get the crash....

Issue resolved. MiniMap was corrupted
