Plane Mesh Transparent in Blender 3D View

I've attached a simple plane mesh that, if textured with a transparent texture, will be transparent in the regular 3D view. If you replace my maker's mark with your own texture with a transparent background, you can place it in front of your mesh as a reference. Note that line drawings you make in InkScape, when exported as a bitmap file, will have a transparent background. Enjoy.

Very interesting Vince, thank you. My link`s very bad tonight and so I`ll have to concentrate on off line stuff but wen it`s better I`ll be interested to see how this works.
