[WIPz] Roman legion armor and weapon mod

So being a great lover of the ancient romans and a big fan of the Simon Scarrow books which depict life in the Roman Legions I have decided to make a mod which adds the roman legions armor complete with shield and the famous roman gladius (shortsword) to Oblivion.

Progress bar:

Armor - 5%

Helmet: Cancelled

Cuirass: Started

Gauntlets: not started

Greaves: not started

Boots: not started

Weapon - 75%

Gladius: handle done blade finished just needs a look over then onto texturing

Well it's a start , Let me know if you need any help, I was planning on making the Gladius myself at some point.

Okay sure I am going to try and do this all independently to increase my modeling and texturing knowledge but I am open to constructive criticism

Yeah most likely I am going to get all meshes done in two weeks time. Texturing will take longer

The Gladius looks good, though I have a couple of suggestions

1. Smooth the grip, Set Smooth in Edit mode will do it nicely (Vince says it's better than the Set Smooth button)
   
2. Maybe make the tip more pointed?, I think it'll look sharper.

Okay helmet started the mesh doesnt fit perfect with the ref image but that is just because it wasnt a very good ref and I want to model it to the way I like.

Well it is pretty evident that the two week deadline was wishful thinking. I now expect it to be ready by the start of September

anyways I am cancelling the helmet i've tried reallllllyyyyy hard by really I mean at least 20 attempts but I just dont think im ready to make a helmet yet. When I get a bit more experience under my belt i'll make one but for now its being put to one side
