I really hope it won't be a MMO... TES is best made singleplayer, that's just the way it is. In a MMO, there wouldn't be anymore mods (Except from UI Mods), and hell there's A LOT of restrictions in MMOs, so goodbye roleplaying...

It would, however be interesting to see how they made it, and to make it most successful as a MMO, they would have to follow in Darkfall and Mortal Online's footsteps and not WoW or those "WoW-Copies".

But.. I guess there's nothing else to do than wait and see..

Would it be possible to create an Elder Scrolls MMO and ESV?? Make them separate entities? Is Beth big enough to build and maintain both? Would it be good business? Or would they link the two somehow, or make one or the other.

I do not keep up with the trades...

Some nice fuel for speculation. I certainly hope they don't go down the road of turning this into an MMO. The only logical thing they could have been working on for so long is TES V.

According to the words of UESP, Pete Hines has scotched all TESV-MMO rumours.

Everything else is up in the air though. I agree that TESV seems a likely candidate for their mystery project.

Edit: As IS said, however, it's likely that a TES spin-off MMO could be made by ZeniMax, as Bethesda itself is developing TESV (Or preparing to develop TESV).

i can guarentee its not an MMO. BGS does not develop MMO's, zenimax online, does however and are apparently making an MMO right now.

Exactly. It's almost certainly got to be TES V because the announcement of an MMO would have come out of ZeniMax instead. There could be a parallel project going quite easily since I don't think the two houses share a developer pool. Also, according to those court filings, the only likely MMO in production is for Fallout.

Now, assuming it's TES V, we already got a sneak leak about when it'll be set, supposedly something like 200 years post-Oblivion. We just don't know for sure which province it'll cover, or if it might cover more than one.
