Since manually installing Apachii Goddess Store (4 times) before it all worked correctly I have been leery of large; multiple part downloads. Now wonder about OMOD - ing Deserts of Elswyr ? Nowhere near as large, but I would like OMOD copy anyway just for my backup disc's. Should I or just extract to Data ?

It might make your life a whole lot easier instead of trying to get large files in pieces to look at the mirror she has and get it all at one time..

Mirror Site

I run it as an OMOD and don't have any problems and since I got it as 1 big file I didn't have to bother with combining multi-part files.

PS.. I run Apachii as aan OMOD as well

I don't think size is the reason to make a mod into an OMOD. It doesn't compress it at all as far as I know, if that's why you're thinking of making one. What I like about OMODs is if I don't want it any more I just deselect it in OBMM. No hunting for stray files. I did make QTP into an OMOD - it took a very long time, but after I decided I didn't want to use it I simply deselected it in OBMM and went right back to vanilla textures. Otherwise I would have had to go in and delete all the textures manually.

Can't think of a con. :)
