Several problems running old save

You can run through the thread if you want, but I'll explain here too.

So the problems I'm having:

First, I had this problem were my OB crashed before even the first intro on OB startup, it just went to desktop without even one error report. Found out the problem was Warglaives by jojjo, I deactivated it.

And also, the biggest problem I have, is with my old save, trying to run it on my newly installed Oblivion. I have tried to make sure I have all the mods it was relied on. But I still have this problem were the body and facial textures are invisible. If I load the save when carrying armor, the armor shows, when unequipping the armor, it still show on the character, but only with a brighter HDR. I can unequip the armor, reload, then the armor is not visible as it should be when not equipped, but then you see that there is actualy no textures showing at all on the character, It's completely invisible.

I can run other old saves, with other races, they work fine, but It's this save with my main character, she is a Mystic Elf, that has the problems. I can make a NEW save with a Mystic Elf, and it works though.

When playing the old save with, Zanctillia, the Mystic Elf, I can go on the stats sub menu, and see that the Race sub category shows "Blank", or, nothing at all, when hovering my mouse over it, my OB goes into a CTD. I can however, start a new save, and import the facial textures of the save, and have it work for the face textures on another save.

Also, when on my Zanctillia save, when entering combat, I get a CTD.

Off topic, but when going over your mods again, you should remove HrmnsOblivionScriptOptimizationv1.0.esp

It is generally accepted that it offers no real benefit. Also, take out the Vampire aging fix and citadel door fix and use the import option for those from the bashed patch. Saves you two esp slots.

Something to consider after solving this problem.

For the mods missing from the save, do not assume they have nothing to do with the problem. Some mods modify things they are not supposed to, usually by mistake. When you get the problem sorted, consider cleaning the mods with Tes4Edit.

You can right click on it and select Diff Masters to see what's missing and what you should re-install. This includes any body mods that don't show as esp's. Check the Files list on the right to verify load order.

Once you get that save sorted then you can properly remove any mods you no longer want.

This sounds to me like you used a custom race plugin to create your character, and that race plugin is no longer in your load order. Also of note:

This is the original Mystic Elf race plugin, and you appear to no longer have it in your load order.

This isn't really all cut and dry, but the quirks of your situation could be explained by a partially uninstalled Ren's Beauty Pack, or fully uninstalling it but replacing it with another mod that includes some of the same resources (such as that Cute Elf pack I see in your list). The resource paths get cached in your saved game, so even after the plugin is gone, you may still see some evidence of your old character there.

The CTD when entering combat could be caused by the fact that it forces the game to look at your character's race records to discern what voice your character has to make combat sounds.

Maybe you can make a new Mystic Elf save because one of your other plugins contains a Mystic Elf race as well - but the form IDs are likely all different in that case, and so this new Mystic Elf race can't replace your old one so directly. I know HeartOftheDead.esp has Mystic Elves, though I forget offhand if they are set up as playable. If this ElaborateEyes-RensBeautyPackFull.esp is a merge of Ren's Beauty Pack and Elaborate Eyes, then it will contain the Mystic Elf race. Beautiful People.esp also contains the Mystic Elf race.

Two possible solutions, here (back up your saves before trying):

1-Using Wrye Bash, right-click on _Ren_BeautyPack_full.esp in the list of mods your save depends on, select "Change to..." and choose one of the other plugins containing a Mystic Elf race. You might get lucky, it might be that one of those plugins will retain the same form ID's as the original plugin. Click "Save" and try to launch the game, see how it goes. Repeat with all three of your remaining potential Mystic Elf plugins, if you wish.

2-Re-install the original Ren's Beauty Pack to get your save working, then switch the races in-game using the showracemenu console command (tutorial here) to one of the Mystic Elf races contained in a plugin you are still using. Or switch to a vanilla race temporarily, and then in a new save switch to a different Mystic Elf after uninstalling the original Ren's Beauty Pack again. You can use Wrye Bash to fix the face if needed, but you shouldn't need to as long as you don't touch any sliders or hit "Reset Face."

Hey there, will try out some of this, but note this: Showracemenu results in a CTD on that particular save. I may try to activate the main .esp for Ren's, I think maybe I had that activated aswell as the mein for Elaborate Eye's and the merge patch when I played that save a long time ago.

Edit: Tried the things you came up with, nothing worked, still all the same problems.

Or you might be missing the plugin containing the hair and/or eyes, if that was not part of the race plugin. Use Wrye Bash's "Repair Hair" to set your character's hair to one of the defaults, and then try again with your original race plugin loaded.

You might have a clue there, about the hair. When I use the face import to get that characters face on other new characters that work, I get the face and all extracted, but the hair get's randomized to something else. Will try this^^
