Shadow Primitives?

There are three shadow casting light types, but there's no such thing as a shadow casting primitive in the CK that I've heard or seen

Sorry for the confusion, I meant a primitive which creates shadows emitted by a shadow caster.

I.e. a shadow light shines upon this primitive and creates a shadow behind it.

That scenario isn't making sense to me sorry. A primitive is just a sort of marker that shows the game where to render say collision, or current, occlusion etc. If you just point your light source at the spot you want to cast shadows it casts/creates shadows all by itself. It doesn't require a primitive, any object you place between your light source and wall will cast shadow

That makes sense. I'm not exactly familiar with the actual engine that dictates how shadows are produced, so I'm just learning.

I sort of based the idea off of primitives' ability to block physical objects, so I hoped that it could work similarly for light.

Thanks for your help!

Edit: What made me want to do it in the first place was creating shadows where there are no objects, such as the back side of a wall with a light source behind it.
