[Sky] Using glowmaps

What version of Nifskope are you using, and what exactly doesn't look the same? They've changed some names around in the different versions.

1.10-RC6

Almost every type is different. I just point it out to say that they're different versions, which is what I thought might be the problem.

The settings in the new Nifskope are the same, they've just been renamed, so instead of seeing Shader Type you have Skyrim Shader Type. Instead of changing a number here you want to use the drop down list to the right and choose Glow Shader.

Shader Flags 2 again is the same, just renamed, so from that drop down list you need to select SLSF2_Glow Map.

The other settings are the same.

Okay, good. :)

Now should I just have a *_g.dds file with the glowing part in white? It still doesn't seem to want to glow...

I've had that error too, seems the CK doesn't like the idea of a model using both an Environment map and Glow Map, the error is safe to ignore though.

Since none of the values in the tutorial are the same, I can't figure out which flags are supposed to be on...

I did get it to sort of work. Only problem was the entire object glowed instead of just a few tiny parts...

EDIT: AHA!!!! I found it! Yaaaaaay! ^_^

Thanks a bunch everyone. :)

Ok, instead of everyone just guessing what's going on, post a pic of your glow map texture, and a pic of Nifskope showing the BSLightingShaderProperty block details, and the BSTextureSet details. Will be much easier to see what's going on. :)
