Bain for Skyrim

Ok, I`ve learned how to use bash to install/uninstall mods. I found that my version supports skyrim. I ran the installers update and after about 10 minutes found in my Steam>steam apps>common reg. , a new folder named "skyrim mods". Inside are two sub folders.."Bash Installers" and " Bash Mod Data". My question is...to use the bash to install mods...where do I paste the .zip ?

Just put your archives in the folder called Bash Installers.

I really don't know the answer to that don, I've always used Bain from a vanilla install. You could run into multiple conflict reports as you would be overwriting the same files that were already there from your manual installs with the Bain installs.

I wish I could get just the installers bit as a separate app, it's all I want from Bash

You really could just ignore the other features as they're all in separate tabs. In fact, if you uncheck "Avoid at Startup" from the context menu of the Installers tab, and then just leave the Installers tab as the active tab when you exit, it will still be on that tab the next time you start the app.

Hiya Khett...this is what my mods install looks like at the moment.

The mods with red boxes are missing masters. The masters for each esp/m are listed on the right when you highlight it, so it will be easy to see what you're missing.

You only need one bashed patch, so you can delete the second one.

After you fix your missing masters, run BOSS and let it sort your load order for you, and then you can make a bashed patch.

Also your Bash is a bit out of date, go update it so we're all looking at the same thing!

Well, I chose a simple house mod that shows red and highlighted it. to the right it shows Skyrim.esm and Update with check boxes...

Just humor me and re-validate your game files through steam. Update.esm should be showing up in the LO.

Edit: & go ahead and update Bash, I heard some users of 295 had issues with it and Update.esm.

Donwanna!!...Bash, however is now up to date.. unbelievable how easy that was...I used to have to DL all the python crap seperately...and pyffi ... and all that. My Skyrim updated like yesterday I thought. My update.esm is in my data folder.

Ok so if I have some mods that are red and won`t play nice...I highlight them and repeat what you said in the shouty?

Yeah, if you try to launch the game while you have active esp/m files that are missing masters, the game will just crash on launch. So you have to check what the missing masters are and install them, or just remove the offending files!
