[misc] changing NiTextureSource for many nif files

I just downloaded a few mods for more diversity (Basswalkers Unique whatsoever), which I now want to pimp with some higher rez textures. The textures are in separate folders, so it's no problem but the name was also changed by adding " - Kopie" oder "Kopie von " like

Tx_block_adobe_redbrown_01 - Kopie.dds

So I would have to rename the different texture packs, which is not such a big deal but it would be more comfortable to undo the change of the name in the nif. Doing that NiTextureSource by NiTextureSource and nif by nif in NifSkope is sort of a pain. So I wonder if there is a tool to do such changes for a couple of nifs.

Or if it is save to use an advanced text editor (e.g. Notepad++) cause the texture names and paths are stored in clear text, so I could search and replace them which is a one click thing to change that for a complete folder structure. I even could use RegEx and stuff. I did something similar with models in The Witcher, which worked pretty well. Maybe that's possible here too.

As the specific problem is related to Morrowind, I guess it's a rather general Question, so I tagged the question [misc], feel free to change.

Forget about it, doesn't work at all, MW simply doesn't care about folders....
