Importing Azeroth

Hi there folks.

Well the title really says it. Is there any way to export the Azeroth (World of Warcraft) World/Map, for example Kalimdor(or even Durotar) using some kind of program and then later import it into the Creation Kit?

I think that the guys behind Skywind did the same thing with the Morrowind World/Map.

Now please keep this on topic, I know my passion for WoW and my wish to see the massive landscapes in Skyrim graphics -isn't supported by everyone.

So if anyone can help,

Technically yes there is, but I don't think it is exactly legal. Morrowind =/= World of Warcraft, so there could be copyrights to take into consideration.

Unless you can prove that it would indeed be legal, I think it best to not discuss this any further. If I am completely wrong about this, then please correct me.

_echo is on the right track, you can't legally export the actual heightmap from WoW and import it to Skyrim. What you CAN legally do though is make your own; even if it won't be an exact copy. The ES developers haven't used the on board heightmap tool in their toolkits for years, they always import heightmaps from an external program like photoshop so the means are there; after all a height map is basically just a greyscale image of your landmass.

Whatever art program you use, Photoshop or whatever, you should be able to Google "create heightmap tutorials" for it, it's not a technique specific to Skyrim.
