[SKY] Removing mod dependencies

Hey there guys,

Quick question, how do you figure out why your mod requires another mod?

I was playing around in Willieseas "Levelers Tower" mod trying to figure out his scripts. Now my mod requires his to load. I can't figure out what I did, and need some help!!

Any info would be great, and thanks in advance

Are you using the ESM version of the Leveler's mod? That would be the only way it would become dependent on my mod.

When you load your mod, and include ANY other master files when you load your mod, and then you SAVE your mod, it now has a dependency on the master files you loaded when you saved your mod.

You can remove dependencies by bringing your mod up in the CK load screen. On the right, click the mod dependency you want to remove, then press Control key and Delete key. Yes through the menus and then load your mod. Save your mod and the dependency should be gone.

Just remember, if you linked or are using something from the master you are removing, it will be deleted as well from your mod.

You do not need to load another mod to look at that other mods scripts. Scripts are totally separate from the mod now.

So you can load your mod, pull up the script editor, and load any script you have the source for. I release the sources for all my scripts.
