Problem attaching interiors to a Navmesh

I am having an annoying issue, when ever I try to add a load door to an area, unless I rebuild the entire Navmesh the game will CTD... Is this normal, or am I missing something?

The CTD is not normal. But it could be because you have a heavily modded game.

But, if you place a load door, you WANT to finalize the navmesh again, that should take into account the door. I would not think you would need to delete and recreate the entire navmesh again.

Have to finalize but can't... ; / Very well may be my game... guess I could install it on the other compter and see if that makes any difference.

You can't use the finalize button? Is it grey?

You could rebuild the navmesh just around the door marker. Watch or try that there is only one single Triangle under the door marker you want to use.

I can use finalize,  but If I do the mod becomes corrupted and causes a CTD every time I load.

 

I'll have to try rebuilding the mech just around the door, havn't done that yet... maybe that will work. Can hope.

Is this an exterior navmesh? If you have other mods that make changes within a few miles of the one you are trying to change, they can conflict and cause a CTD. The way around this is to turn your mod into an ESM (master file) so those types of errors are ignored instead of crashing your game.

Or remove the other mods from your game that are nearby.
