Stop or Steam

Hello, I'm Confused. I just got New Vegas from GameStop and have run into a dilemma. Should I install the game via the GameStop app, or Steam? There's already a folder created by the former, but I was also prompted to install via Steam. Does anyone else have the same version? If so, could you lend me a hand?

I purchased my New Vegas on Steam; I haven't purchased anythin' from GameStop in a while. I do lean against you installing it through Steam. One of the perks would be the Mod Managers would recognize the file directory. I'm not sure if they would with the GameStop file directory.

? You don't want me to use Steam because the mod managers can recognize it?

If you install it with Steam the Mod Managers will recognize it the file directory (i.e steamapps\common\Fallout...). I'm not sure if they will with GameStop. That is the only thing that really comes to mind, as a perk, if you install with Steam.

I had a similar dilemma with regard to Star Trek Online recently. It turned out the Steam installation was perfectly adequate; no need to use the company's client. (I mean the new owners of S.T.O; not sure what to call them.)

Ah, I am not really familiar with the Star Trek Online game, so I am not too sure either.   I just reckon, that if you install with steam that is one of the points I definitely think is good, though it is up to you.

One word of advice- steer clear of anything to do with Pando Media Booster. Its sole purpose is to drag out a download over 24 hours.
