I am building a custom house for skyrim but for the life of me I can't get the windows to change for day and night. They are staying lit up like it is day time is there a way to fix this, there is a lot about creation kit that I do not know so any advice would be great.

Off my head, you need to set the walls that have windows "Emission" to exterior lighting and choose the weather accordingly to the place where your house is. Sorry, I've done that a long time ago, my memory is a bit weak.
