Modelling Request: Vanilla Armour Modification

Here's the story;

If possible, I'd like a 3D Modeller and also a Retexturer to tweak some Vanilla objects for a mod I'm doing, but I'm so flat out with just basic modding I don't have time to learn the difficult art of the black magic that is 3d Modelling and Retexturing.

The modified objects would then be released as a modder's resource over at TES Nexus, with you guys getting star billing.

There are three objects, all armours, that I'd like to have modified.

1, Archer's Salade

This is a fifteenth century light helmet. If possible, I'd like to see the standard 'Steel Helmet' (which is a 'Barbuta') modified by trimming off the cheek pieces, and reshaping the tail at the nape of the neck. The basic shape will probably stay the same, this is mainly an exercise in trimming.

Here's what we want:

and here's the current object:

For retexturing, I was hoping a standard silver finish could be applied.

1, Brigandine.

This is another fifteenth century light armour, often made by cutting up obsolete armours. It is a layer of variously shaped scales covered by velvet or canvas, and 'nailed' with rivets that usually are in groups of three in a triangle pattern.

Here's what the armour looks like:

I think the base Oblivion object to use would be the Blades Cuirass.

The shoulder guards would be removed (they're in a separate tree) and the area below the belt would have short skirts attached. This, I have no idea of how to do :pints:

For retexturing, I was thinking the arms could probably stay as they are. The torso and skirts I would prefer to be red.

3, Provincial Legionary Cuirass.

This is a project I wish to get to some time in the future, but I thought I'd see if anyone wanted to tackle it now.

Essentially, it's changing the Blade's Cuirass to resemble those worn by the Imperial troops in Morrowind.

As before, the skirt of the cuirass would be removed, but this time the shoulder guards would be left. The skirt is in a seperate tree, so it's not too hard. It gets tricky here;

This is what is to replace the Blade's Cuirass skirt, the skirt ('peturiges') from the Imperial Legion cuirass. This is part of the same mesh as the rest of the torso, so I have no idea how you'd get it off.

Once done, the armour needs another silver retexture while retaining the horizontal lines defining the torso bands.

Anyway, that's it. I don't know if this is a big or a little job, but it's way beyond me at the moment. If anyone would like to takle it, please reply.

As someone who has worked extensively with Blades armor, I think for the Brigandine the easiest route would be to modify the quilted doublet (it's a shirt) and add it to the game as armor. I did this with a pair of pants, modified into greaves. Just because it isn't armor to start with doesn't mean it can't be armor once you've added it!  aa_biggrin.gif

Just a suggestion, good luck finding the help you need, looks like an interesting resource!  :pints:

have you had any luck in getting these made? If not I am learning to do modeling and a simple cutting & retexturing job is a good practice. So if you haven't found anyone I'll see what I can do.Pacific Morrowind

Well then I'll w(h)ip something up! I just have some MMM stuff I have to complete first - due by the 20th so probably be after that before I start work on it. The helm will be super easy (I think) so it should be the soonest.
