Working With Trees

Hello Community :)

I've got a question concerning trees this time around, I want to retexture a tree in oblivion, not the leaves but the actual bark and base. the file types are .spt and inside the editor the only texture you can change is that of the leaves. does anyone know how or even if its possible to change the base texture of a tree? Do I need a special editor to be able to open and edit spts without purchasing speed tree?

Thanks a ton

Hello Again,

Spent all day trying to figure things out, I did pretty much what they suggested and followed the size restrictions and everything but still im having some problems.

Im duplicating the dtree01

changed the texture inside

placed the texture in a sub folder inside texture dir

duplicated the dtree01 ref in the CS

changed the spt file

and restarted the editor

still no dice

when I drag and drop the tree a reference is created but nothing shows
