prefixes

I know this is probably an idiotic question that anybody with the slightest amount of scripting experience knows, but it warping my poor old senile brain. I have been looking over some in game scripts, and I see things like "bHasMetPC, sMymaxLevel, or my favorite blsCompanion. Can someone tell me what these "b's, s's and bls's are? I think I am getting to old for scripting, I just can't seem to wrap my head around it. This is a sad admission from some body who was an electronics tech for 35 yrs. And, incidentally my first computer was a Commodore Vic 20. I am offering my heartfelt thanks in advance for any and all help/information provided.

I would like to be an optimist, but I doubt that it would work out.

My first computer was a TI99/4a, a bit older than the Vic 20. :D

For the most part, the prefix may not really mean anything.

But I have some guesses:

b = binary. A yes or a no, "bHasMetPC" would be you have or have not met the PC. It would still be defined as a 'short' though.

s = short. A variable defined as a short type.

bls = binary short long? :D

I personally do not use this type of prefix, I use stuff like 'my' so I know its mine, like myState or mySTR. Or something that is well known like 'doOnce'.
