Hmm, thing is, if you can't do Sanguine's quest, then.....

You can't do Hermaeus Mora's either

So maybe the player could bribe the daedra worshippers at Sanguine's shrine to be able to summon him, that way no one is blocked off from two quests which lead to the best skill boost book in the game. :)

What do you think? :)

Well that would be the consequence of joining the religion/order. ;)

You make enemies, yes. That's this religion's bad side, but think of the good ones! So, if I ever make the religions joinable, Dibella's worshippers and knights won't be able to perform Mora's and Sanguine's quests. :D

You can still go worship the others though.

Being in both the Mages Guild and the School of Julianos would prove interesting as well. They really, really don't get along together. They won't kill each other, but they hate each other. Think of how House Telvanni hated the Mages Guild, but a bit less extreme. Both are seen as "competition" to the other.

It is with great pleasure and honor that I announce that I've taken over the Minstrels of Cyrodiil project, by CorePC, and have blended it with Better Inns.

The minstrels fit very well. I'll fine tune the dancing patrons and take a screenshot of tavern life, with the minstrel playing music and patrons dancing. :cookie4u:

Minstrels will appear from time to time in taverns and start playing their music. I am still discussing with CorePC what other ideas he had in mind with minstrels so I can incorporate them as well. There might be acrobats as well in the streets. We'll see how it goes.

Oblivion is truly coming alive now.

Thanks to CorePc, the tavern life now gets even better. Though, not only the tavern life, but the castle life as well. I believe it would be an excellent idea to have minstrels play inside the castle when the Count is sitting on his throne or when the royal family is having dinner. :)

It's about time I update this thread! :P

Losing My Religion's newest version (1.4) is to be released in the next few days and will become available for download at TES Alliance. Due to a couple of bugs and compatibility issues with other mods in the first versions, I had decided not to put it on the Alliance's servers.

But now 1.4 will be pretty much the *crosses fingers* stable version. It's been tested a lot, compatibility patches have been made, lots of bugs erased and new features. :D

Here's the new stuff:

Additions

- Each god faction is now joinable. Two Knightly Orders, the Order of the Hour and the Kynaran Order, are joinable as well.

- The Knightly Orders smiths use Shivering Isle’s smiting animation.

- The Knightly Orders’ horses use Zira’s beautiful Medieval Horse Clothes.

- Ambient sound atmospheres in some areas. Hear the wilderness birds and insects from inside Kynareth’s Shrine houses, the potions boiling in the alchemy lab of Mara or some NPCs who snore while they’re asleep.

- Ask about the location of wayshrines to anyone belonging to god factions.

- Akatosh worshippers at the Order of the Hour now offer the healing service.

- The second floor of Skingrad and Cheydinhal’s chapels have been changed to be more unique.

Changes

- The temples’ merchants now have their chests accessible. Meaning the player can steal from their stock. The merchants places their wares at the start of the day and bring them back with them when going to sleep.

- Removed the chants from Gottlesfront Priory and the Temple of the Ancestor Moth’s catacombs.

- The sound atmosphere in the Temple of Stendarr plays only when the priests are preaching, and will not continuously loop.

- The healers will now accept to heal you during prayers. Zenithar’s Donation Collector will also accept your donations.

- The preaching time for the priests have been reduced to 2 hours instead of 4, allowing the player to have more time dealing with services NPCs.

- The lighting has been changed inside chapels. I have removed DarkNinja’s coloured lighting to replace with a more natural ambiance.

- The Magic Item Merchant in Skingrad’s chapel, the Spell Maker Merchant in the Shrine of Kynareth and the Soul Gem Merchant in Cheydinhal’s chapel no longer offer their services to the public. You need to be a member to access this privilege.

If you have the Knights of the Nine DLC, the add-on for Losing My Religion brings some new things on the table if you're a KOTN. Normally, you can't belong to a religion and a knightly order at the same time. You also need to meet the religion or order's skill requirements. And finally when you're accepted, you are at first rank and cannot rise up.

But if you are a KOTN, the 9 religion factions and the two knightly orders will accept you right away, no skill requirement needed, and you will be instantly promoted to a high rank. (Brother/Sister rank in a religion and Knight Brother/Sister in a knightly order).

Being a Knight Brother grants you the right to have your own armored horse from the Order along with its ceremonial knight armor. Being a religion's Brother/Sister provides you with a higher disposition boost with those of the same faith and your religion's allies, but a lower disposition with your religion's rivals.

This is it for Losing My Religion. Expect a release in the next few days. :)

I have removed the Planned Modules from my To-Do list. Having Daedra Summoning, Oblivion Comes Alive and Sounds of Cyrodiil is more than enough to fill my modding time until Skyrim. :)

For Oblivion Comes Alive, I did some progress with CorePC's Minstrels. There are minstrels who walk from city to city to entertain the Counts and Countesses, minstrels who travel around Cyrodiil to entertain the wanderers in the highway inns and minstrels who live in the cities, entertaining patrons in its taverns. They add a lot of atmosphere by playing the lute in those areas.

This is it for now. Cheers!

P.S: I recently found a software that extracts Daggerfall's Sound Effects. I'm almost tempted to release a mod that changes all sounds with those from Daggerfall. :P (Halt! Halt! Halt!)

Greetings!

Now that my courses are over, free time has returned.

Before I upload the file to the public, I'd have a quick request.

I'd be interested on releasing it today, but before I do so I want to make sure the new models/textures work correctly. I have not touched the completed file in around a month, but to my knowledge I had checked everything. Since my meshes/texture folders is cramped with other mods' content, it's difficult (or at least very time consuming) to check if all LMR's models and textures are there.

If someone would be interested to load the mod and see that the new models/textures in LMR's Testing Hall show up correctly, that'd be appreciated.

Cheers! :pints:

Version 1.4 now released. Hurray!

/index.php?/files/file/876-oblivifall-losing-my-religion/">Download Link

With many things changing and added in version 1.4, I felt Losing my Religion needed a new trailer that better showed the mod's features.

Compatibility Patches

You'll find in the package a folder called "LMR_Patches". This contains the compatibility files for the following mods:

- Atmospheric Window Lighting System (AWLS)

- Better Cities

- DC Sutch Reborn

- Knights of the Nine Official DLC

- Kvatch Rebuilt

- Blood & Mud

Also the Oblivifall Master File has been updated to support LMR's new version. It is included in the package, but if you still want to download it separately you can do so here.

Have fun with the new stuff!

It'll most likely be the last version where there are additions. The next releases will be aimed at compatiblity patches and additional bug fixes if needed.
