I entered a painting competition at my local Games Work Shop at the start of the month and i came 2nd overall, I lost by 1 vote >_<

Wow, the winner must've been downright amazing to beat that. That's some epic shading work there.

Most of my Warhammer painting ends up like a globby mess.

I'm actually going to be putting the final touches to it tomorrow so you will see exactly what i'm trying to do with it, you might laugh. But after that it's the really long painting process for that monster!

Don't think I'd ever have the patience to sit and paint that , Can only imagine the hours it takes to get it right.

Well my competition model took me 8 hours to paint fully. So this will take me upwards of...say 20hours minimum. Fun fun fun!

Yeah it's loads of fun. I'm currently trying to get into the miniture painting scene as a profession and then work for GW 'Eavy Metal team but i got a long way before that happens.

I built my own chaos dragon plus a rider a while back out of very old metal parts. I haven't painted it yet. Dunno how to get the scales to look good, really..

It's really fun to play with, though. We made an assassination style battle. I only got to use the dragon and any magic items I want on it up to 500 points, and the other guy got 700 points worth of Lizardmen. I won.

I actually have very shakey hand, there is a few techinques though to steady your hand

I bought some Goblin Fanatics for my Army and I started on one of them, this is the end product and i'm happy with it. (4 hours worth of painting)
