That could be any number of mod conflicts. I had this issue when I had Lost Spires in my load order. Have you tried deactivating RST and going there?

Rather than a mod conflict, a consistant crash upon entering a particular cell could be something corrupted in the cell in the line of saves. I had that once with a corrupted spawn point from The Lost Spires in the cell with the Drunk Dragon exterior. I used Arthmoor's method for clearing it.

First trial and error to see if that is the case, uncheck The lost spires .esp and see if the crash still occurs. If not, test other mod.esps. If you find it then try to clear it. (you can use TESIV Edit to identify which mods edit a cell, but I do not myself know how to use TESIV Edit).

method 1: go back through recent saves to test if the corruption was recent and you are rather lucky you can go just back a few saves to before the corruption to avoid it.

Method 2: Uninstall Tthe Lost Spires and leave it uninstalled.

Method 3: Temporarilly uncheck the .esp. Then 3 nights in a row be in the cell when the day rolls over at midnight, so that you will be in it when the cell respawns (most cells respawn on a 3 day cycle). This will clear a corrupted spawn point for the mod. Then you can reload the mod on the clean save, but of course you will have to start that mod over.

If the corrupted spawn (or maybe other corrupted object) is from vanilla Oblivion, your only option is to go to a save before the corruption occured.

Note that one of the risks of using utilities that prevent or reduce in game crashes is an increased risk of corruption like this getting into your save line. Some of the in game CTDs are from errors that can result in corrupting something if the game does not crash.

If its not been reported, RST places a stable/ranch area just north of Skingrad. It conflicts with Roads of Cyrodiil because it is smack in the middle of the Skingrad/Chorrol road from RoC. I also get a small land tear at the junction of the roads when I use RoC, RST, and UL Skingrad Ourskirts. I've reported this to the RoC thread already. Thanks.

Heya,

as I mentioned in my intro, I've been having a peculiar bug with RST. The door to my home after I become a Blademaster doesn't exist. As in, the exterior is there, but the door itself is missing, and I can walk through the hole where it's supposed to be. I don't know why it's doing this, and I don't think it's a mod conflict since if I go into the CS and uncheck the "initially disabled" box from the door(s), they pop into existence (which I am using as a temporary fix). I've only done a light side playthrough, though (at least I think it's light side, since my apprentice is in the light side house), so I'm not sure if it happens with the dark side door, but it is slightly bothering me that this is happening (because I have no idea if I'm breaking anything by changing those doors).

It would be one of two separate doors depending on you aarcmoralcode score.

The aaRCPlayerLightBarracksDoor is RefID xx004b7d, The aaRCPlayerDarkBarracksDoor is ref id xx00d70d, the xx digits come for the lad index of the RecakuinSancreTor.esp

the console commands would be

prid RefId

enable

However, since the same script (triggered at stage 95 of aaRCMQ02a {Requisitions}) also tranfers all the itmes you left with the requisitions officer to your chest in your quarters, you might wind up missing your stuff. Stage 95 of aaRCMQ02a is set by stage 100 of aaRCNQ10 Trials by Blade. Stage 100 of aarcmq10 is set by a topic in your conversation with Thierny after the cavern of trials.

You need to find out where you are in those 2 quests with

getstage aarcmq10

and

getstage aarcmq02a

The interactions in this mod a complex, it took me 40 minutes in the CS to track all that down.

Thanks; I'm sorry to say I figured out where the door was before I posted the report, and I figured out the command with some searching on the uesp, but at least it'll help other people and the effort is appreciated. However, that reminds me of another bug; I ended up playing this mod through with all of my gear, since I accidentally skipped a step in the process. I got horribly lost in Sancre Tor, and instead of finding my way to the Requisitions place as you're supposed to, I ended up finding Blademaster Sakai (I think that's his name - he's the guy who gives the warrior quests) before I'd given in my gear. It therefore continued the quest from the first time you meet the guy, and therefore skipped taking my gear, allowing me to play through the whole mod with all my gear intact. Now that I think of it, actually, that could be the reason I didn't get the house. The script to take my gear never ran, and as a result my gear was never placed in the chest, which is a script that appears to be tied to the house being enabled, which could mean that that script never ran which could mean that the house was never enabled. It's certainly a possibility. Either way, should you find the Blademaster before you hand over your gear, you can run through the entire mod without handing over your gear.

I don't remember unlocking them in the console, but it's a possibility since I was so completely and utterly lost. Even though it's close by, the fact that there's no quest marker, and no ability to re-obtain the directions to requisitions from anyone I could find (such as the guards and a lot of outdoors people) drove me nuts. Might be an idea to add a dialogue option that gives you the directions again to the guards or something, just for added "idiot (read Dagon) proofing".

Hi Dark Rider,

I have tried and tried, and it doesn't seem to matter what I do, I can't get it to work. Any time I start getting anywhere near the Bruma world space, or just trying to fast travel to Cloud Ruler Temple, the game freezes up on me. Also, I can't reload any saves that I made after installing RST.

I've tried using TES4 Edit to see if I could get a sense of where the conflict might be coming from, but I'm having a heck of a time deciphering it.

Here's my load order. Let me know if you (or anyone else) spots what's going on. I'd love to be able to play this.

Hey,

I finally got off my butt and installed RST, and started playing through the mod last night. Got the armor, got the note but finished the DB quest line first, then went to Cloud Ruler and took point in the escort mission (which is something I personally hate) and got to the Tor just fine. Went inside, talked to the bosses and am on my way to the barracks. But after I enter the "Sancre Tor, Entry Hall" cell, I can no longer wait or sleep. Every time I try I CTD. I have narrowed this down to RST, and to actually crossing into this cell. I have tried leaving the Tor and going to different houses and sleeping/waiting with the same CTD result. I am not using a standard install of Oblivion (I have a SSD and HDD with Oblivion on the HDD (E:)). I have tried running RST with only the basics installed (Oblivion, UOP, OOO, COBL, etc.) and still get the crashing issue. This looks great and I'd love to go farther into the quest, but I'd like to be able to sleep/wait as well. Load order below (sorted it with BOSS, didn't help). Thanks for any help anyone can provide!
